Warzone players fuming over killstreak nerf now deemed “useless”

Many Warzone players feel that the recent nerf to an explosive killstreak now makes it “completely useless.”

Although separate from Call of Duty ‘s multiplayer, and having its own specific weapon buffs and nerfs, Warzone has incorporated many of CoD’s iconic features in its own way.

This includes killstreaks, but you don’t need to get three kills to get a drone.

In Battle Royale, killstreaks can be purchased at Buy Stations, found in Supply Crates, or picked up from an enemy you have eliminated.

Historically, developers have rarely changed killstreaks, but they recently nerfed Precision Strike in Season 2.

Instead of just having an on-screen banner warning you that an airstrike is approaching your area, you can now see the flight path of the bombers, as well as the blast zone.

Warzone players annoyed by Precision Strike nerf

According to some players, this recent change has made the killstreak “completely useless.” “Is it just me or with the addition of precision strike blast zone display now, the killstreak has become completely useless in Warzone,” says one annoyed player.

“I think there should be just the sound call. If I remember correctly, in the early days of Warzone there was almost no warning, just a loud call for an airstrike, and I liked that because it required good placement to get the kill,” replies another player.

“I don’t think they were able to adjust the notifications properly so instead they added this. It makes no sense. I no longer find Precision Strikes useful. If people know exactly the extent of the damage well in advance of the strike, they will always be able to escape in time,” commented one fan.

However, some players feel that this killstreak now works better as a finishing move on downed players rather than trying to use it in place of a weapon.

Either way, it’s unlikely the developers will make any changes anytime soon, considering this new notification was only added a short time ago, but it might be something to consider down the road.
