Will Skull and Bones be released on Nintendo Switch?

Skull and Bones is set to launch for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on February 16. But will the game come to Nintendo Switch?

It’s been a long wait for fans of Ubisoft’s open-world pirate action RPG. But now, finally, after nearly a decade of development and delays, Skull and Bones launches on February 16.

Originally inspired by the naval combat in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Skull and Bones will allow players to control all elements of navigation and engage other ships on the high seas, including navigation, management of the crew and the fight.

Set during the golden age of piracy in the late 1600s, the game claims the Indian Ocean as its primary setting. Players start as a simple buccaneer with big dreams of becoming the most infamous pirate captain on the high seas.

Will Skull and Bones come to Nintendo Switch?

At the time of writing, Skull and Bones is not planned to launch on Nintendo Switch at this point. Skull and Bones will be available on PS5, Xbox and PC at launch.

There is no information yet on the possibility of a future port. However, developer Ubisoft has been a big proponent of spreading the love across all current-gen platforms. They’ve released a series of fantastic ports for the Switch, including the Assassins Creed Ezio trilogy and Rebel Collection.

That said, the Switch is a console that is nearing the end of its lifespan. If Ubisoft wants to bring their pirate adventure to Nintendo gamers, they might just wait until the next-gen console arrives.
