Taylor Sheridan ‘s cowboy kingdom has grown rapidly and impressively, but it all started with one story in particular: that of the 2018 series Yellowstone. Six years and 47 episodes later, viewers are preparing to witness the very last act of the main story.
But many details still deserve to be highlighted: will Kevin Costner return? Which Yellowstone characters will survive? Does Summer Higgins have what it takes to convert the Duttons to veganism? We tell you everything there is to know about part 2 of season 5 of Yellowstone.
Yellowstone season 5 part 2: Release date
To date, Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 does not have a specific release date, but we know that the final episodes will air around November 2024.
The exit window is therefore quite clear, and above all not very far away. Which will not fail to relieve some, the strikes of Hollywood screenwriters and actors having had an obvious impact on most productions in the sector.
Part 2, for example, should have been filmed in August 2023, but nothing happened as planned. It will not be until spring 2024 that production will finally be able to resume: the time between filming and release will therefore be tight.
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Cast: Who is in it?
The majority of Yellowstone’s main players are all but confirmed to return in the final leg of the journey. Barring complications, the casting will probably include:

The one notable exception on this list at the moment is Kevin Costner. Indeed, after his disagreements with the creator of the series and Paramount, the return of the star of the series has not yet been confirmed in the role of John Dutton.
Indeed, the actor was talked about for his quarrel with Taylor Sheridan and the studio, over his contractual obligation to finish the series. The possibility that he withdraws from production before the last episode is therefore very likely, or that he does not return at all.
But if the news may disappoint some, the absence of John Dutton in the story does not mean the end of the world for the Yellowstone universe.
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Plot: What will happen?
While no plot summary has yet been released, it is expected that the feud between Beth and Jamie will be central and reach its climax, perhaps leading to the death of one of them.
Another key plot point that needs to be addressed is the fate of John Dutton. If Kevin Costner returns, it will certainly be so that his character is treated definitively. So, as painful as it may be, it’s more than likely that we’ll see the head of the Dutton family go away for good.
We can still expect Kayce Dutton, Monica, and their son Tate to find some sort of happy ending. Kayce knows his priorities and emphasizes his desire to put his family first, not forgetting that Tate is at this point the only true heir to the Yellowstone empire.
