She’s back! The much-anticipated and delightfully eerie teaser for Wednesday Season 2 has finally made its debut. While it appears to promise an entertaining experience, a couple of concerns have surfaced among avid fans of the Addams Family spinoff streaming on Netflix.
After an extended hiatus of nearly three years, viewers can look forward to the show’s return in 2025. Jenna Ortega will once again embody the quirky, pig-tailed heroine, Wednesday Addams. She’ll be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, returning as the iconic Morticia and Gomez Addams.
The series will once more transport its beloved characters back to Nevermore Academy for more thrilling escapades. Notably, the cast will also feature new talent, including the one and only Lady Gaga—though if you were excited to see her in action, you might be left waiting a little longer.
The Absence of Lady Gaga in the Teaser Trailer
The teaser itself showcases a variety of whimsical moments, from Wednesday and Thing engaging in antics at airport security, to Enid embracing her quirky self at Nevermore, juxtaposed with an array of eerie dolls. However, two significant complaints have emerged among fans:
- Lady Gaga is noticeably absent from the trailer.
- Wednesday’s storyline is notably split into two parts.
Part 1 of the season is set to premiere on August 6, 2025, followed by Part 2 on September 3, 2025. This division has prompted many fans to express dissatisfaction, especially considering the entire season consists of just eight episodes. One user tweeted, “PLEASE stop breaking seasons up like this, it makes no sense.” Others have echoed similar sentiments, lamenting the lengthy wait for such a short season and desiring all eight episodes to drop simultaneously.
Gaga’s absence has also stirred conversation. Comments like “Where is Gaga?” and “Not even a single Gaga crumb” have become commonplace among fans eager for her presence.
Despite these concerns, the excitement for the upcoming season remains palpable. According to Netflix’s synopsis, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) will explore the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy once again, encountering new challenges and adversaries along the way.
