Cody Detwiler, widely known as ‘WhistlinDiesel’, has unveiled a remarkable achievement: a full-scale reproduction of the notorious Killdozer. In an engaging new YouTube video, he puts his creation to the test by demolishing a row of vehicles on his property.
The original Killdozer made headlines in 2004 when Marvin Heemeyer used his modified bulldozer to wreak havoc in Granby, Colorado. Heemeyer fortified his machine with heavy layers of steel and concrete, ultimately destroying 13 structures before taking his own life. This event has since evolved into a controversial and compelling tale within internet lore.
Unleashing the Replica’s Potential
Detwiler’s version of the Killdozer was crafted over a labor-intensive nine months. The replica boasts impressive features, including reinforced steel armor, fortified windows, and mounted cameras for enhanced visibility. With a total construction cost of approximately $200, 000 and a weight of around 155, 000 pounds—40, 000 pounds heavier than a conventional tank—it is a formidable piece of machinery.
In his demolition video, released on July 25, Detwiler enthusiastically demonstrates the capabilities of his creation, leveling parked cars with ease. In addition to this, he has expressed aspirations to take the bulldozer to a larger scale, noting his interest in demolishing significant structures, including shopping centers.
“I am looking to destroy something really impressive, ” Detwiler stated.“If anyone has a cool structure to demolish and possesses the necessary demolition permit, we are ready to haul this machine out for the job.”
Now that he has completed initial demolitions, Detwiler aims to put the Killdozer through rigorous durability tests. He shared his ambitious plans, saying, “We are thinking about sitting inside it while shooting at it, driving other vehicles into it, and even testing small explosives around it. We might even try lifting it with a helicopter and dropping it from a height.”
Notably, WhistlinDiesel has a history of testing vehicles with explosives, previously demonstrating this with a Cybertruck in one of his 2024 uploads.
