A Few Moments of Cheers anime film announces June 2024 premiere and more

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Bandai Namco Filmworks’ Emotion label released the complete trailer and main visual for the highly anticipated A Few Moments of Cheers anime film, officially announcing its release in June 2024. The trailer also introduced new members of the cast and production team, and gave a sneak peek of the film’s theme song, Cyan, performed by the popular rock band Frederic.

The trailer for the A Few Moments of Cheers anime film, which runs for approximately 60 seconds, primarily highlights main characters Asaya Kanata and Yu Orie, portrayed by Natsuki Hanae and Mariya Ise, respectively. Towards the end, the trailer briefly introduces two recently announced characters. However, it does not include a performance by singer-songwriter Kei Sugawara, who will be providing the singing voice for the character of Yu Orie.

The A Few Moments of Cheers anime film is a joint venture between screenwriter Jukki Hanada, music video production group Hurray!, and 100Studio. Hanada is recognized for writing the film’s original script and story, drawing from his vast experience as an experienced anime screenwriter for previous musician-centric anime series.

Highly Anticipated Anime Film “A Few Moments of Cheers”to Premiere in Japan on June 14, 2024

The A Few Moments of Cheers anime film has officially announced its release date in Japan on Friday, June 14, 2024. At the time of writing, there is no confirmed information regarding the film’s international release. If any updates are provided, they will likely be announced in Fall 2024, considering the movie’s planned release in Japan during Summer 2024.

The recently revealed lineup for the cast and characters features Yuma Uchida portraying Daisuke Tonosaki, while Fuka Izumi has been cast as Emi Nakagawa. The newly announced staff additions include Noriyoshi Konuma as the sound director and Tomoyuki Kono as the music composer. POPREQ from Hurray! is credited as the film’s director, with Ohajiki as the assistant director and Magotsuki as the art director.

The anime being produced in collaboration with 100Studio is being created by the trio Hurray!, known for their popular music videos for the band Yorushika. The film’s songs are being composed by Vocaloid scene music producer Vivi. The script and story for the film are being written by Hanada, who has experience writing for similar anime such as Sound! Euphonium, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Love Live! Superstar!!, and Girls Band Cry.

The narrative of the movie commences when Asaya Kanata, a high school student, crosses paths with Yu Orie, a teacher who is performing on the streets. As an aspiring music video producer, Kanata persuades Orie (who had abandoned her aspirations of becoming a professional musician) to allow him to create a music video for her songs. From this moment, their journey together begins.
