On July 5, BLACKPINK graced the stage for their highly anticipated full group comeback, launching the DEADLINE world tour at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea. This event marked their first collective performance in almost three years, generating immense excitement among fans worldwide while also igniting discussions about the setlist and overall concert experience.
Mixed Reactions to Setlist and Premiere of New Song
The concert kicked off with their latest track, “Jump”, captivating a crowd of over 40, 000 fans—solidifying the Goyang concert as one of the summer’s most talked-about events. However, responses to the new song were varied. While some fans appreciated it as a refreshing change from their usual sound, others voiced that it fell short in resonance. One attendee remarked, “The intro was gripping, but it lost energy midway through, ” capturing the mixed feelings.
In addition to “Jump, ” BLACKPINK’s extensive set comprised 25 songs, including beloved tracks from their previous “Born Pink” tour like “Kill This Love”, “Pink Venom”, and “How You Like That”. The concert shone a spotlight on each member’s individuality, featuring impressive solo performances.

Nevertheless, the inclusion of numerous older hits led some fans to express disappointment.“So many great songs were omitted, like ‘Bet You Wanna’, ‘The Happiest Girl’, and ‘You Never Know’. We were left with too many recycled tracks, ” voiced one fan. Concerns were also raised regarding the quality of special effects during the performance, which some deemed underwhelming in contrast to the high expectations for a grand concert.
Critics pointed out that outside of “Jump, ” the concert heavily relied on solo performances, leading to some labeling the setlist as disappointing for a world tour debut. Many fans expressed hope that the upcoming concerts will bring refreshed setlists and stage designs.
Issues with Blocked Views and Ticket Pricing
Another significant concern raised by attendees centered around pricing and visibility. Tickets were priced between 132, 000 KRW and 275, 000 KRW (around 94 to 200 USD), with an option for “restricted view” seats sold for 99, 000 KRW (approximately 72 USD).Despite not opting for restricted view seats, many concertgoers complained of obstructed views that were not disclosed before purchase.
One dissatisfied fan lamented, “I paid a high price and couldn’t even see BLACKPINK’s outfits clearly. I feel cheated, ” while another shared their frustration with a blocked view, declaring, “I was so distracted by my obstructed sightlines that it completely ruined my experience. I was in the second row, and it felt like a waste.”
Anticipating Future Performances
While the critiques were notable, many fans remained optimistic, viewing the concert as just the beginning of something greater.“It’s only the start; BLACKPINK always finds a way to surprise us in future shows, ” offered one fan, expressing hope for enhancements ahead.
