On July 27th, BTS’s V shared a photo on his social media account of him watching the Olympics broadcast on KBS. The image shows KBS highlighting kimchi, hanbok, and BTS as representations of Korea during the entrance of the South Korean team at the 2024 Olympics.
Specifically, V included ARMY (BTS’s fandom) in the caption displayed on the screen, showcasing his adoration for fans and highlighting the unbreakable bond between BTS and their supporters.
Moreover, during an interview, V exclaimed, “Yubin, let’s fight in table tennis! Fighting, South Korea!”Shin Yu-bin, a prominent member of the South Korean national table tennis team, is known to be a dedicated fan of BTS. She once appeared on MBC’s show “Hangout with Yoo”and revealed her admiration for the popular group. Shin Yu-bin shared, “On the bus ride back to the athletes’ village after a match at the Olympics, I received a notification. When I opened it, I saw that V had posted a photo of me on his social media with the message ‘Fighting’. I was so overwhelmed that my hands were shaking throughout the bus ride.”
On this occasion, V showed support for Shin Yu-bin as the table tennis player participated in the 2024 Olympics.
Thanks to the encouragement of her idol, Shin Yu-bin was able to make it to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics. On July 27th, Shin Yu-bin and her partner Lim Jong-hoon faced off against Nina Mittelham and Dang Qiu in the Round of 16 for Mixed Doubles at Arena 4 in Paris, France, and emerged as the victors with a score of 4-0.
V is currently serving in the military.
