How to get Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon Go
To successfully evolve Rayquaza, Pokemon Go players must first conquer and capture Rayquaza in Raids and acquire Mega Rayquaza Energy. Afterwards, they must utilize 300 Mega Energy to initiate the evolution process.
The return of Mega Rayquaza has been officially announced for June 29, 2024, with Elite Raids scheduled from 12 PM to 1 PM and 5 PM to 6 PM (local time).
Prior to this, Rayquaza’s Mega evolution required the use of an Item called Meteorite in addition to Mega Energy. However, it remains unclear if this method will be reintroduced for the upcoming Mega Rayquaza Raids, as Niantic has not provided any details.
Mega Rayqauza will be hosted in Elite Raids during the Shared Skies season.

To enable Rayquaza to Mega Evolve in Pokemon Go, trainers must teach it the Charged Attack Dragon Ascent. This can be achieved by using a Meteorite, an item that is obtained by completing Special Research tasks.

During Raids or Gym Battles, if Mega Rayquaza is engaged in battle, other trainers’ Pokemon will inflict increased damage. Moreover, if the attack used by these Pokemon is of the Flying, Psychic, or Dragon type, it will cause even more damage.
Similarly to other Mega-Evolved Pokemon, Rayquaza’s Mega Level will progressively increase with each Mega Evolution, resulting in enhancements to its other bonuses.
