Mijoo, after confirming her relationship with footballer Song Bum Keun, shared details about how her boyfriend responded to the news of their relationship, their initial meeting, and the factors that led her to fall in love with him.

The most recent episode of MBC’s “Hangout With Yoo”aired on May 4, featuring the cast members’ first reunion since Mijoo’s announcement of her relationship with Song Bum Keun.
Being the youngest member of the cast, she was quickly teased by the others about her relationship and they proceeded to inquire about her boyfriend.
At the start of the show, the cast and crew warmly congratulated Mijoo for publicly announcing her relationship and welcomed her back after being absent for one week.
On April 18, reports emerged that Mijoo, a former member of LOVELYZ, was involved in a dating rumor with football player Song Bum Keun. According to the reports, Mijoo personally accompanied the athlete to Japan to support his match in the J-League.
On that very same day, Mijoo’s agency officially confirmed that they were in a serious relationship. Shortly after, fans noticed that the couple had been dropping hints about their status on Instagram all along with their lovestagram photos taken in Yokohama, Japan.
Upon returning to the show, Mijoo openly responded to the question about how they were doing following the news, stating:
“That buddy rather like it (going public). He’s at ease (now). What I mean is, before, I was too popular. I’m a really popular person outside, so he was anxious about it. But now, he liked it so much after going public.”

Amidst the ongoing conversation about her boyfriend, Mijoo also touched upon their first encounter, briefly stating:
“So (we met) through a casual relationship. At somewhere, there was a gathering somewhere. We got along well there naturally.”
Despite her attempts to conceal it, Mijoo’s love for her boyfriend becomes apparent when she says:
“What is attractive about him? So what I mean is on the outside, he looks very fierce, right? But he’s a very cute guy.”
Upon hearing this, Yoo Jae Suk reacted with great force and exclaimed:
“Don’t say it! Ugh, I don’t want to hear it!”
Lee Mijoo, who was born in 1994, is three years older than Song Bum Keun, who was born in 1997.
Ever since 2023, Song has been making a name for herself in the sports world as the goalkeeper for J-League’s Shonan Bellmare.
Additionally, he has been selected by the South Korean national football team to participate in the 2026 North and Central American World Cup Asia Second Qualifier.
