Not Yuta but Yuji-Higuruma combo for Inumaki’s tape recorder trick could have been ideal against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen

The most recent installment of Jujutsu Kaisen captivated fans with Toge Inumaki’s clever use of a tape recorder in his battle against Sukuna. This tactic appeared to give Yuta Okkotsu the upper hand in the fight.

In chapter 262 part 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta was shown struggling to adjust to Satoru Gojo’s body and his Cursed Technique, which proved to be quite challenging even after their body-swap training. However, towards the end of the chapter, Yuta was able to successfully perform Gojo’s chants with the assistance of Inumaki and create a Hollow Purple attack, ready to be launched at the King of Curses.

Inumaki’s Cursed Speech was used cleverly against Sukuna, making it one of the most memorable power plays in the series’ battles. This sparked the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom to brainstorm various ways of utilizing Inumaki’s tape recorder trick against Sukuna. One idea involved a Yuji-Higuruma combo that could potentially put an end to the King of Curses once and for all.

Latest Jujutsu Kaisen Scenario: Yuji-Higuruma Combo with Inumaki’s Tape Recorder Trick Against Sukuna

The fight against Ryomen Sukuna has resulted in a significant loss of life for the Jujutsu sorcerers, including Hiromi Higuruma, who had previously worked as a lawyer before becoming a sorcerer.

Throughout the battle, Higuruma’s display of sorcery left both readers and Sukuna astonished as it revealed his potential, which was rumored to be on par with that of Satoru Gojo.

Despite possessing one of the deadliest Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, fans had hoped that Higuruma would be able to use his Executioner’s Sword to eliminate Sukuna. However, his injuries proved fatal, causing him to pass away before he could achieve this feat. As a result, the Executioner’s Sword disappeared with his death.

In the second part of chapter 262 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, readers were surprised to see Toge Inumaki come to Yuta Okkotsu’s aid. Despite struggling to adapt to Satoru Gojo’s body at first, Yuta bravely attempted to end the battle by utilizing his mentor’s powerful technique, Hollow Purple, against the King of Curses.

Despite facing initial resistance from Sukuna, Yuta was determined to complete the chants. However, he found a way to surprise his opponent by using a tape recorder to deliver Inumaki’s Cursed Speech to the King of Curses. This unexpected move restricted Sukuna’s movements, allowing Yuta to finish his chants and unleash the powerful Hollow Purple attack on his opponent.

Despite being widely regarded as one of the most clever battle tactics in all of Jujutsu Kaisen, some fans still tried to come up with alternative scenarios where other Jujutsu sorcerers could also use Inumaki’s tape recorder trick to their advantage.

In one of the scenarios, Sukuna was immobilized by Inumaki’s tape recorder and it was Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruma who delivered the finishing blow.

The user u/NewBrightness, who shared their thoughts on the r/Jujutsufolk community on Reddit, suggested that the Yuji-Higuruma combo, combined with Inumaki’s tape recorder trick, would have been more effective against Sukuna than Yuta’s Hollow Purple. According to this user, Yuji could have taken advantage of Higuruma’s distraction to get the tape recorder closer to Sukuna.

In the future, Sukuna would be paralyzed by Inumaki’s voice, giving Higuruma the opportunity to eliminate the King of Curses using his Executioner’s Sword. However, as with all the previous scenarios, this plan also has its challenges.

After the deaths of Gojo and Kashimo, Yuji and Higuruma became the primary line of defense. This meant that they had to confront a fully transformed Sukuna in his Heian Era form, who was in a significantly stronger state than his current form.

The use of Inumaki’s Cursed Speech through a tape recorder was a strategic move intended to catch Sukuna off-guard during a weakened state. If this tactic had been employed earlier in the fight against Yuji and Higuruma and had not proven effective for any reason, the sorcerers would have no other tactics to rely on.

Upon reflecting on the Jujutsu sorcerers’ fight against Sukuna, it becomes clear that they had prepared for any possible mishaps that could occur during the battle. Given that the worst-case scenario consistently played out at critical moments, it is possible that the plan to utilize Inumaki’s tape recorder and the Yuji-Higuruma combination may have had some unintended consequences.

However, this scenario is undeniably thought-provoking. While there is a chance that Sukuna could have devised an escape plan, it would have been a clever and straightforward way to defeat the King of Curses if Gege Akutami had saved the Yuji-Higuruma and Inumaki combination for last. As a result, fans will likely continue to speculate on this topic until Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 is released.
