On May 4th, a post titled “IVE’s Fans’ Catastrophe” began circulating on various online communities and platforms. A netizen shared her disappointment, stating, “I attended a photo card exchange event for IVE, but unfortunately, the photo cards got wet due to a sudden fountain malfunction.”
The photos depicted dozens of water-soaked IVE photo cards scattered on the floor or floating in the fountain. These images, along with the countless fans surrounding the fountain, further illustrated the situation.
According to witnesses at the event, the venue was chosen by the organizers. Fans who were impacted by the unexpected fountain expressed their frustration and approached the organizers for compensation, but their requests were left unanswered.
The event, which was held as a gift for young people ahead of Korean Children’s Day, was reportedly attended by a diverse range of age groups, including teenagers and individuals in their 20s.
Online users are expressing their opinions, stating, “If the organizers designated a specific location, they should provide compensation,””Did they even bother to check if the fountain would be operational at the designated photo card exchange spot?””I’m aware that there were protests on site, it’s unfortunate for those who participated,”and “Fans must be feeling extremely disappointed.”
In recent times, IVE has officially returned to the music scene with the launch of their second EP album, “IV SWITCH.”The album, which features two tracks, “HEYA”and “Accendio,”has been receiving positive attention as IVE actively promotes it through various music programs and YouTube.
