While speculation abounds regarding the filming schedule for Virgin River Season 7, an official release date has yet to be confirmed. However, one of the show’s stars has provided intriguing insights.

The anticipation for Virgin River’s return can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially with five crucial questions lingering in the air—each capable of altering the lives of the show’s beloved characters forever.

Current rumors suggest that filming might commence in early March, paralleling the filming timeline for Season 6 in 2024. Although there has been no confirmation from Netflix or the series’ creators regarding this timeline, it remains a reasonable assumption.

Could Christmas Bring Season 7 to Netflix?

Ben Hollingsworth, who plays Brady in the series, hints that fans might expect Virgin River Season 7 to premiere during the holiday season, similar to Seasons 5 and 6. In a recent interview, he expressed his hopes for the series’ Christmas release.

Hollingsworth shared with USA Today, “I’m hoping (producers) will do the same kind of thing over Christmas. I think it’s great to watch over the holidays.”

This speculation aligns with the show’s recent release patterns, where filming typically occurs from spring to summer, concluding with a release in December. Season 5 was somewhat unique, featuring a split release format.

If the current rumors hold true, viewers can reasonably anticipate a similar pattern for Season 7, though clarity remains regarding the inclusion of Christmas-themed episodes, an element not featured since Season 5 Part 2.

As confirmed, Season 7 is expected to be filmed “from spring into summer, ” further hinting at the seasonal cyclical pattern.

Brady’s character plays a pivotal role in the Season 6 cliffhanger, having had his money taken by Lark while simultaneously expressing love for Brie—just moments before Mike proposed to her. The uncertainty surrounding their futures adds to the suspense, yet Hollingsworth admits he is left in the dark about upcoming plot developments.

“I wish I knew, ” he confessed.“I don’t know who the endgame is. They (the writers/creator) don’t tell you these things. I do know there’s quite a substantial following supporting Brady and Brie coming together, and I would be okay with that. Their chemistry is undeniable.”

He elaborated on the backstory, highlighting Brady’s troubled past and Brie’s struggle with self-trust.“Brady comes from a broken home and has always been seen as the ‘Shady Brady’ of town. I believe Brie has faced challenges with her inner compass and self-trust. If they can navigate their journey toward feeling deserving of love, there’s hope for them yet.”

For now, fans can enjoy Virgin River Season 6, currently streaming on Netflix.
