While the curtain has fallen on *Yellowstone*, the memories forged by the cast during its run continue to resonate. James Jordan, noted for his portrayal of Livestock Agent Steve Hendon, fondly reminisces about a memorable encounter with Kevin Costner, the show’s iconic lead.
Despite the departure of Costner stirring whispers of discord among the cast, many of his colleagues still cherish their experiences with him. Jordan, a regular in Taylor Sheridan’s productions, reflected on the camaraderie built on set, particularly during intense scripted moments that tested his character’s moral compass.
Jordan recalls a defining moment from his first day on set, where he was fortunate enough to have a private rehearsal with Costner. This encounter left a lasting impact on him, further solidifying his admiration for the seasoned actor.

Describing his initial impression, Jordan shared, “The first day I was on set with him was pretty crazy—seeing him from 100 yards away and thinking, ‘There he is, the man who hears voices in the corn.’ It was truly a dream come true, ” Jordan stated [via Daily Express US].
He vividly recalled the golden hues of the Montana sunset during their rehearsal atop a mountain, stating, “I was pinching myself while we did that. Such a fantastic leader, fantastic actor, and I had a great time.”
